The number one question in our inboxes this past week has been: Where is 2010 going to be?
The number one answer to this is that we have no clue. Seriously! There are plenty rumors and speculation but we couldn’t be further from knowing. There are places we’d like to be, and we suspect that we will be doing 2010 around the same time of the year, but as to where, we have no clue.
So what are we doing about it? Well based on what we have learned about doing conferences away from home, we are drafting a set of guidelines and requirements to be sent to potential candidates to complete and send back to us so that we can see what each place potential host has to offer. What we need now is to know who is seriously interested in making this happen.
If you are considering hosting the EWBC 2010 and can answer YES! to all these questions, then please email us: email@example.com and we’ll send you a full list of requirements:
- Venue within 1hr of a major wine region?
- Venue within a cab ride of a (major) European airport?
- Either you are planning to be our ‘Premiere Sponsor’ or you know of a candidate?
- Can you provide us with someone on the ground in country to support the EWBC?
- Can you have a contract signed by January 20th?
We already have a few big announcements for next year, and we want to announce as soon as possible, so please send us an email ASAP.
Having just finished this year’s conference, and still feeling a bit exhausted, I can honestly say that we are at the same time VERY excited to be starting on next year!
