Mission

The EWBC goal is to create a network of wine communicators across the globe to spread information, broaden the culture of wine, improve industry standards, and above all else, create a physical space to communicate and share ideas.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

"By proposing a post-event visit to Alto Adige for EWBC attendees, our main aim was to present the production area and special characteristics of the wines from the Dolomites, showing the typical grape varieties and emphasising the longevity of our white wines. We were delighted to host a trip to our region because Cantina Terlano is aware of how important bloggers and their comments are to the final consumer."
Judith Unterholzener - Cantina Terlano
"In two short days at the EWBC, our team has met a huge number of lovely people, had so many interesting conversations, and sparked dozens of great ideas. Our brains are fizzing with the possibilities of introducing Laithwaite's customers to some of the wines of the ancient world. Nearly a million people around the world trust us to source their wine for them, and we are excited about finding new ways, using the power of digital communities, to help them to fall in love with our wines."
Justin Howard-Sneyd (UK) - Laithwaite's Wine
"We cannot think about working without social media in the wine industry. Facebook, Twitter, youtube and their like are important tools to present, introduce and highlight Austrian Wines' offer, and the EWBC provides one of the best opportunities to meet and interact with wine communicators. The quality of the EWBC attendees is very high and we regard our participation as a wise investment which definitely pays excellent dividends."
Willi Klinger - Austrian Wines
"Harpers Wine & Spirit Trades Review was delighted to be a media sponsor for the 2012 EWBC Digital Wine Communications Conference. It's a must-attend event for anyone serious about digital communications for the wine sector, and a great opportunity to meet key people from all over the world involved in finding new ways to not only talk to the industry, but also to engage directly with consumers."
Richard Siddle - Harpers Wine & Spirits Trade Review
"As a first time participant I was struck by two things: the perfect organization (by Vrazon and Wines of Turkey) and the openness, friendliness, calmness and relaxed attitude of everyone. I got to taste many wines from regions that were new to me, and learned about them, but most of all I appreciated getting to meet in person all the little avatars I had been talking with for years: now we have a different basis for our relationships and - who knows? - friendships."
